It’s basically how much you are giving to your target market.
He was referring specifically to when you contact your email list.
But I believe it applies to anything in life.
Don’t underestimate the power of giving in business.
Early on when you need cash, you are constantly focussed on what cash you can get out of someone.
It’s natural.
And it’s backwards.
Start by helping people and you’ll be amazed how much money you can make.
Zig Ziglar once said ‘You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help enough other people get what they want.’
In my experience this has always been true.
If you were to help someone in your target market for free each day for a year you would end up with 365 people that are better off having known you.
If you did it every year, I have no doubt that you would be wealthy within a few short years.
Problem is, few people actually do it.
If you need cash, get a part time job and help people for free on the side if you need to.
Utilise a skill you have to generate the cash so you can focus on your passion business.
Do whatever you need to do so you have cash coming in, remove that pressure, and help as many mother*ckers as you can.
People talk.
They tell fricken EVERYONE when you help them for free and do a great job.
Every time you help someone you put a deposit in your goodwill bank account.
Help someone in your target market for free, no holds barred without expecting anything in return and see how it feels.
