Many of us will have potential leads connected to us on LinkedIn.
We can build a relationship with them through multiple channels.
Send them a DM, cold email them, posting valuable content and engaging with their posts.
There’s one other way we can engage with them.
Through Facebook Ads.
In this video, I will show you how to export your LinkedIn connections’ email addresses – then upload it to Facebook so you can run ads to them.
Many people have heard of doing this, but haven’t been actually shown how.
Note: I’ll be showing you how to do it in the new, updated version of LinkedIn (the layout has changed so the process is different now).
The process involves:
- Export your LinkedIn connections
- Cleanse the list
- Upload to FB
- Create ad targeting them
The video will cover the important bits where people get stuck – namely how to export everything and get it into Facebook.
From there you can advertise your lead magnet, a discount voucher, useful video content, client success stories and more.
Hope you enjoy and let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Ray

Hey Ray thanks for the article, but unfortunately this option no longer works. Facebook won’t let you target your specific contacts. It tells
you your ausience is too specific and your ads won’t be shown. Don’t
know if this is a bug or a deliberate tactic by Facebook, but it’s been
happening for the last 5 years and plenty of people have been
complaining about it to Facebook with no response or solution.

G’day Mark,
Thanks for stopping by.
I retested it just then and it definitely still works – I was able to download all my contacts again and upload as an audience successfully and run an ad to them.
It does say audience too small initially (even when you upload 2000 people, it’ll say 20 people), but give it 15 minutes and it will upload fully.
If it doesn’t maybe try contact Facebook and just say it’s your normal customer list.
Have a great day,
Ray

Maybe for you, but not for others. I’ve tried this multiple times and it doesn’t work on small lists. It’s only when I make the list larger that Facebook will accept and run the ad. As I said many people have been complaining about this for years, so I doubt contacting Facebook will make any difference.

That’s odd – Definitely still working for me and definitely for other clients of mine. Hope it gets resolved on your end mate! The ads manager has been buggy for a long time so it doesn’t surprise me. Cheers, Ray
